What a fun day at BES!
We were excited to welcome Jackson County Fair Queen Mallory Klosterman to our school! Mallory visited classrooms, read stories to our students, and spent time getting to know some of our Little Braves.
Our students loved having such a special guest share her love of reading with them. Thank you, Mallory, for taking the time to visit BES and make the day memorable for our students!

Great attendance = great opportunities to learn!
BES had an overall attendance rate of 96.66% for August 11–21! We are off to a strong start, and we appreciate our families for making being at school every day a priority.
Every day matters, and every day counts!
Lolli’s Visit to BES!
Our students had a very special visitor today—our BES therapy dog, Lolli!
Lolli brought plenty of smiles, cuddles, and positive energy as she spent time visiting with our students. Her visits are a wonderful reminder of how much joy and comfort a furry friend can bring to our school community.
Thank you, Lolli, for making our day a little brighter! 🐾❤️
Tomorrow is an early release day and students will dismiss at 12:55 PM.
Everything will run exactly like a normal school day, just two hours earlier than usual.
Dismissal:
Car Rider Line: Begins at 12:55pm
.Bus riders: Buses will drop students off two hours earlier than normal.
Boys & Girls Club: The program will open right at 12:55 PM for registered students.

BES's Energizer Bunny Summer Winners! Mr. Young, Mrs. Markel, Mr. Disque, and Ms. Price! These people have been working hard to get our school ready to go this school year! We can do hard things!
We are incredibly proud to share that Brownstown Elementary earned a 95.7% PASS RATE on the 2026 IREAD assessment!
