Even with some sickness hitting us this week, our BES Braves showed up and gave great effort. When our students are here, they are learning, growing, and living out the Brave Way. Attendance matters, and we appreciate our families doing their best during a week when a few bugs were going around.

Today we celebrated Mrs. McClure for being named the Jackson County Chamber Elementary Teacher of the Year AND for her birthday! Talk about a double celebration!
Mrs. McClure represents what the BES Brave Way is all about. She works hard, builds strong relationships, holds high expectations, and pours her heart into her students each and every day. This recognition is well deserved, and we are so proud to call her one of our own.

Dr. Seuss Week at Brownstown Elementary!
BES will be celebrating Dr. Seuss Week as we promote a love of reading and continue building strong literacy skills in our students!
Throughout the week, students will participate in fun spirit days, classroom reading activities, and special literacy celebrations that remind us why reading matters. At BES, we know that when students grow as readers, they grow in confidence, curiosity, and character.

What an incredible honor and so well deserved. Mrs. Anderson pours her heart into literacy every single day at BES. She believes in our kids, she believes in the power of reading, and she works tirelessly to make sure students grow in confidence and skill. Whether it is building strong foundational skills, encouraging a love for books, or supporting her teammates with strategies and resources, she leads the way.
Her impact goes far beyond one event or one classroom. She is helping shape readers, thinkers, and leaders. That is Brave Way work right there.
