WELCOME TO THE 4A CLASSROOM WEB-PAGE

This web-page will provide parents/guardians and students with the information needed to remain current on happenings in the classroom.  It will also provide information that you may find helpful throughout the school year.  Some items that you should look for are upcoming events, information about projects and happenings, contact information, important websites, etc.  You will also find daily homework assignments posted on this page.

Should you need to contact me please call the school and leave a voice mail.  You may also send an email to school - salstatt@btownccs.k12.in.us.  However , I prefer a voice mail message if your child will be going home a different way than usual. School phone number  (812) 358-3680.

Homework 

Homework is expected to be completed and turned in when due.  Parents are asked to take an interst in their child's school work by helping them with any questions they may have, checking for mistakes, and having their child make any needed corrections.

Water Bottles

Students are allowed to have a water bottle at their desk.  
Water only, in a bottle that closes securely.

Twistable crayons and/or colored pencils, Crayola brand works best

Glue, liquid & stick

Scissors

1 package of red ink pens

2 packages of  #2 pencils

2 pocket folders, plastic folders last longer

1 pkg of 150 count wide-ruled loose leaf paper

4 large boxes of Kleenex tissue

Ruler with inches and centimeters

2 packages of 4 or more black dry erase markers

1 package of 4 or more highlighters

Erasers, pencil top and/or hand held (white ones work the best)

Ear buds/headphones for computer

Backpack

*DO NOT BRING A TRAPPER KEEPER OR LARGE BINDER

Class 4A

Chromebooks - Please remember to charge Chromebooks each night, and please remember to bring your charger to school with you each day.

 Spelling - Spelling list was sent home, and new list is posted on Google Classroom.  

Book Fair- 4A will be going to the Book Fair Thursday, May 4th.

Upcoming Field Trips-

Thursday, May 11th- Spring Mill State Park - fee $6, bring your lunch with a reclosable drink, wear tennis shoes, no sandals or flipflops; Do Not Be Late to School

Friday, May 19th- Brownstown History Center; no cost, bring your lunch with a reclosable drink, wear tennis shoes, no sandals or flip-flops; Do Not Be Late to School

Language Arts - IXL Skills assigned this week.

IXL Skills posted on Google Classroom this week. Goal is 100 %.  Students have until Friday at 3 pm to reach the goal.  If you reach 100% before Friday, "Yay you!"

Math - IXL Skills assigned this week.

Reading - Read every night for 20 minutes.

Science - None

Social Studies - None

AR Points - The requirement to participate in the on level activity every nine weeks for AR is as follows:

Students must earn at least 10 points every nine weeks with at least an overall average of 80% passing.

Quarterly Birthday Celebration Treats - 

If you signed up to send in treats for a quarterly birthday celebration, please have them to the school by no later than 10 am on the assigned day. Treats for 28 students will cover the class. A reminder will be sent home as your date approaches.  

Actual Birthday of Student - If you prefer to send in treats on the actual date of your child's birthday that is not a problem, however, healthy treats will need to be sent in by noon on that day. 

Water Bottle -Students may bring a water bottle daily, water only, in a bottle that closes securely.

Back to School Forms - Please complete and return all forms from the red Back to School folder, as soon as possible.
