EVENTS and INFORMATION ...
K-5 Physical Education
All students in grades K-5 will have Physical Education class once a week for 45 minutes.
Please make sure that they are dressed appropriately and have tennis shoes on that day. Girls choosing to wear dresses on gym day should wear shorts under them. Students not dressing appropriately or without tennis shoes will have points deducted from their overall Physical Education grade.
I will offer a wide variety of physical activities to all students throughout the school year. Optimal fitness for students ages 5-12 is the priority. Building healthy lifestyles through physical activity is discussed and practiced in every class. Good sportsmanship, teamwork, respect, and establishing positive attitudes and self confidence are also common threads in each lesson. Your child will learn responsible social and personal behavior in the gym while fitness and physical skills are practiced, and aerobic and sport-specific games are played. I hope that your child will wholeheartedly enjoy physical activity so it will become an integral part of their daily life and carry over into adulthood.
Your child will be expected to fully participate in all Physical Education activities. Therefore, if you know of any physical limitations that might hinder your child from participating, please send me a note immediately. Without a written statement, your child will not be exempt.
I have met many of your children already and have shared my Physical Education expectations with them. Please take time to review these standards with your child. Your help will ensure the best learning environment for all students.

Wear the proper PE attire.
LISTEN! Follow directions the first time they are given.
Be RESPECTFUL.
Be SAFE at ALL times!
Take care of PE equipment.
Participate and have FUN!
