Hello! I am fortunate to have two jobs at school. I’ve been the School to Home Connection Program Coordinator since 1996, and a first grade Reading Recovery Teacher since 2006. I received my Bachelor’s degree from Concordia University Chicago, and just last year received my Master’s degree from Olivet Nazarene University. One of the coolest things about getting my Master’s later in life was being reminded how much I really like learning, plus proving it’s never too late to grow in knowledge and learn new things. My husband Jack, a Lutheran pastor, and I have 3 grown children—Philip, Lindsay, and David. We share our home with our toy poodle, Sammie. After school I teach piano lessons each day, and any spare time is spent reading, cooking, eating, and gardening.
